Day 01 :

Arrival in Lucknow – Drive to Nepalgunj

In the evening, attend a detailed Yatra briefing session to understand the upcoming schedule and spiritual significance of the journey.

Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.

Day 02 :

Nepalgunj – Simikot – Hilsa – Purang (Taklakot)

Begin the day with an early morning transfer to Nepalgunj airport, followed by a 40–50 minute flight to Simikot. On arrival, rest for a few hours to aid in altitude acclimatization.

Next, board a 20–25 minute helicopter ride from Simikot to Hilsa (near the Tibet border). After regrouping with fellow yatris, drive across the border to Purang (Taklakot). Check-in at Hotel Purang or a similar property for the night.

Important Note: In certain weather or traffic conditions, overnight stay may be arranged at Simikot guesthouse instead. This flexible routing supports stepwise acclimatization for a safer and more comfortable yatra experience.

Day 03 :

Settling in Purang: Preparing for the Sacred Trek

Spend the day in Purang to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude and prepare for the sacred journey ahead. A light walk or short local trek may be done to help build physical readiness for the upcoming visit to Mansarovar.

Purang, a charming and clean Himalayan town, offers a pleasant local market experience. You can shop for essential yatra items like walking sticks, water containers for Mansarovar water, snacks, and warm clothing. Friendly bargaining is part of the culture, making this a meaningful and relaxed day before continuing the journey.

Day 04 :

Purang to the Sacred Shores – Arrival at Mansarovar Lake

Begin with a comfortable 2-hour drive in a private AC vehicle from Purang to the sacred Mansarovar Lake. As you approach, experience the profound moment of seeing Mount Kailash for the very first time — an awe-inspiring sight beside the holy lake.

You will undertake the Parikrama (circumambulation) of Mansarovar Lake, covering approximately 105 km by bus. This spiritual ritual includes taking a holy dip in the divine waters and performing puja at the lake, revered as one of the holiest lakes in the Himalayas.

Following the parikrama, visit Yamdwar, where you will receive blessings with the darshan of the South Face of Mount Kailash, believed to be the most auspicious side of the mountain.

After this divine experience, return to Purang for an overnight stay at Hotel New Purang or a similar accommodation.

Day 05 :

Return Journey – Hilsa to Lucknow

Begin your return by driving from Purang to Hilsa in a comfortable AC luxury vehicle. From Hilsa, take a helicopter flight back to Simikot, followed by a flight to Nepalgunj.

On arrival at Nepalgunj, board your private AC coach for the drive back to Lucknow, marking the conclusion of your sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
